Nicole Frankel was tired of fighting with her daughter about eating — or refusing to eat — fruits and vegetables. So, she whipped up a solution, combining fruits and vegetables with ice cream, that young Eleanor pronounced “yum, actually.”
That led to a new company, Yum Actually, which currently offers four fruit-based desserts, with more in the works. They feature bananas, sweet potatoes, mangos and butternut squash, all of which are the primary ingredient in the products.
Added bonus: Nicole says her daughter is actually now more inclined to eat foods like sweet potatoes and mangoes. This solver of so many parents’ problems is currently available only in New York City retail locations.
