This one just might be worth the ticket to Tokyo. Japanese beauty brand SK-II has debuted its Future X Smart Store, and it appears to be one for the books. It’s both fully immersive and interactive, a fitting experience for an award-winning brand often called “transformative.”
The concept includes fun tech like face authentication and recognition, skin analysis from a mirror that can gauge tone, condition and type, and a smart beauty counter that allows consumers to learn more about personalized product recommendations on synched screens as they pick those products up. It’s data for the win in terms of the in-store shopping experience.
