A new survey from Clutch may nudge those still on the fence about the effectiveness of content marketing to a more secure position. The study showed that 82 percent of people have purchased a product or service from a company as a result of taking in that company’s online content. In addition, 67 percent consider content marketing “useful and valuable.”

Clutch, a research, ratings and reviews company, released the results from its 2018 Consumer Content Marketing Survey in August. It surveyed 384 people who had consumed business content online in the previous week. According to Clutch, content marketing helps boost revenue and sales, in addition to improving search engine optimization and helping move potential customers through the sales funnel. Apparently, it helps drive folks back to the company website, too: The survey found that 53 percent of people are more likely to revisit a company’s site after experiencing its content.
