It can’t be said that Jack in the Box doesn’t know its target audience. The company, which launched delivery for those late-night munchies, amped things up a notch in a special promotion.
Marking California’s entry into the legalized cannabis arena, the company created Merry Munchie Meals at Long Beach stores in partnership with Merry Jane, an online publication dedicated to cannabis news. The meal included two tacos, five mini churros, three chicken strips, a half-and-half mixture of curly and regular fries and a small drink, all for $4.20 — a reference to April 20, an informal counterculture holiday celebrating cannabis. While the product was available only for a week, it created an alliance with its most potent — and laid back — customers.
