Technology has helped children imagine and create things in a whole new way. A unique invention from toy and consumer products manufacturer ZURU is doing the same — with something as traditional as building blocks. Mayka Toy Block Tape, rebranded from Nimuno Loops, “transforms virtually any surface into a base for toy building blocks, figures and accessories,” the company promises. One side has a toy block pattern that can be trimmed to any size, and the other has a reusable adhesive backing. That means blocks can sit on curved surfaces or attach to corners.
Initially launched on Indiegogo, the product raised $1.6 million in a month. Mayka Toy Block Tape is compatible with LEGO, Kre-O and other leading brands, and aimed at those ages three and up. It comes in small, medium and large sizes — and is certain to come in Santa’s sack, too.
