Parents aren’t the only ones offering a care package for their college-age kids. Amazon recently announced a new monthly payment option for Prime Student. After a six-month trial, the service is $5.49 a month — half off Prime — for those enrolled in two- or four-year U.S. colleges. That means no annual commitment for access to movies, shows, books, music, discounts on pre-released boxed games, unlimited free two-day shipping, deals, photo storage and more.
To join, students simply need a valid .edu email address — and, perhaps, the use of Dad’s credit card number.
Prime, according to Amazon, “is designed to make your life better every single day.” What college student couldn’t use some of that?
