JW Marriott’s Desert Springs hotel is featuring a “DoNut Disturb” package: A 10-pound frosted cake — that looks like a doughnut — is wheeled into the room, along with milkshakes. The $219 nightly cost includes resort credits for other hotel services like golf or spa services.
For the launch of the promotion, the hotel created two additional cakes — one weighing in at 100 pounds, the other a mere 40. It just goes to show how far a disrupted industry will go to try to recapture those fickle young adults.
